Carlos Cancela Pinto was born in Porto, Portugal, in 1978.

Carlos is a self-taught photographer and only shoots photos with film cameras. The experiment of new concepts with film, is his the main interest for the medium. Carlos finds great beauty in the use of natural light, and tries to make the best fit with the surround nature (in its most pure state as possible) and people in order to capture a good photo. The interaction between nature, light and people is his recurring theme. Since 2011 he has been featuring his work in several online publications.
